Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Briem, an Icelandic performer. Her best-known work is her role as Jane Seymour, the young woman who is to become the 3rd queen of Henry VIII on the television series The Tudors. Briem was first introduced to the world of acting as a performer at National Theater Iceland at 9 years old. In her early years as a child actor, she performed in many plays broadcast on radio and television from her homeland of Iceland. Briem at the age of 16 relocated to London and was a part of an production called Lenin In Love for The New End Theater. After turning 19, Briem was accepted at the world-renowned Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) which is where she was a student for three years. She earned a degree in drama and also the John Barton Prize in the category of Scenic Fight.
